It is especially designed as relay driver in automotive applications. A serial peripheral interface (SPI) is utilized for control and diagnosis of the device and the load. For direct control and PWM there are four input pins available. The device is monolithically integrated. The power transistors are built by N-channel MOSFETs. The successor product of the TLE7240SL is the TLE75008-ESD. The TLE75008-ESD comprises additional features like enhanced load capability due to improved thermal performance using an exposed pad and cranking down to 3V battery. Furthermore, the TLE75008-ESD (TSDSO-24 package) is accompanied by the pin compatible 4-channel low-side switch TLE75004-ESD (TSDSO-14 package) enabling system cost optimization.
