The IC supplies off-board systems in automotive applications with protection against reverse polarity and short circuit. It supports supply voltages up to 40 V. The output voltage follows a reference voltage applied at the adjust input with high accuracy (min. 2.0 V). It can drive loads up to 70 mA and tracks a 5 V output from a main voltage regulator as a reference.
