This reference board showcases an air-cooled high current protection switch (up to 300A) for automotive 48V batteries. It utilizes a 2-channel MOSFET gate driver (2ED4820-EM) to control Power MOSFETs for battery connection. Current monitoring and overcurrent protection are enhanced with shunt and hall-based sensing (TLE4972-AE35D5). Controlled by an XMC4700 microcontroller kit, the board supports configuration via a command-line interface.
