Datasheet comparison of TLS105B0MB and TLE4250G

The Infineon OPTIREG™ linear portfolio include the tracker linear voltage regulator family, which are power semiconductor devices specially designed to supply off-board sensors. Key benefits of these tracker LDOs are are high voltage accuracy and robustness, including protection features such as short circuit protected output, reverse polarity protected input and overtemperature shutdown. This document is a so-called delta sheet, which presents a comparison for replacement purposes between two Infineon OPTIREG™ linear trackers, with 50 mA current capability. A detailed comparison table of the package dimensions, pin functionality and relevant parameters is presented for the older TLE4250G and the proposed replacement device, the new TLS105B0MB. The data was analyzed with special focus on typical automotive application and the key differences that need to be considered in external components and device functionalities to assist the switchover to the newer device.
