In 2003, Infineon Technologies embarked on a visionary journey by establishing a branch office with a Finance & Accounting shared services in Porto, Portugal. The establishment of this site marked a significant milestone in Infineon's global expansion, laying the foundation for a fast growth and a continuous expansion of the scope of services provided.

The dedication and qualifications of Porto’s teams enabled the center to overcome obstacles and deliver exceptional results. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Porto quickly became an indispensable part of Infineon's global operations.

Over the past two decades, Infineon in Porto evolved from a specialized support unit to a hub of innovation and excellence. The teams have grown, providing specialized services and solutions that support Infineon's global operations. 

The more than 1.000 talented individuals that are part of the center have built a reputation for delivering high-quality services for all Infineon in Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, IT, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Business Continuity and Sustainability, Communication, Corporate Supply Chain Logistics and Sales & Marketing.

Porto evolved from Infineon Shared Service Center to embrace a new name in 2024: Infineon Technologies Business Solutions (IFBP). This renaming reflects the site’s evolution and encapsulates the depth of Porto’s teams’ contribution to create and implement cutting-edge solutions that drive Infineon's success worldwide. Porto is a powerhouse of ideas and solutions, a key player in the global company’s puzzle, delivering specialized services and innovative solutions.

Porto is integral to the company’s global strategy: the teams collaborate with colleagues from around the world, sharing knowledge and expertise to solve complex challenges and drive innovation.
