High performance microcontroller for xEV-integration platforms and high-end Engine Management

Overview

High-performance MCU with dedicated cores, low latency interface, High Resolution-PWM, Fast Comparator and the Parallel Processing Unit (PPU) with private scalar core and 256bit wide vector unit. AURIX™ TC4x is the ideal device for xEV integration scenarios, like Inverter, Power Conversion (DCDC, OBC) and Battery Management. In addition, the TC49x is the only device of the TC4x family to cover engine management systems.

AURIXTM TC4x product family

AURIX TC49x features a rich connectivity set to address the need for high-speed communication & new interfaces.

To ensure the scalability, the whole family shares its core architecture (TriCore™), allowing a maximum of software reusability. It also offers pin-to-pin compatibility with two main packages (BGA-292 and BGA-436). With this approach, customers can develop on AURIX TC49x for high-end applications and build a complete ECU portfolio with lower-end devices.

The cutting-edge security module CSRM (Cybersecurity Realtime Module) has 10 times higher performance than previous generations. Hardware Security Module protects with future post-quantum cryptography and covers the security needs of the future. 

AURIX TC49x also offers native support for virtualization via hypervisor which enables software development with ensured freedom from interference.

Infineon AUTOSAR MCAL drivers MC‑ISAR AURIX

The AURIX TC4x MC‑ISAR extends ASIL‑D safety claims across a broader range of drivers based on AUTOSAR R20‑11, with memory drivers aligned to AUTOSAR R21‑11. New drivers for the Data Routing Engine (DRE), Ethernet (GETH/LETH), CAN‑FD/CAN‑XL, FlexRay, QSPI/xSPI, ASCLIN, I2C, and HSSL enable high communication performance on TC48x.

The participating partners are trained in the use of AURIX™ microcontrollers and provide product- and application-specific support. The Preferred Design Houses (PDH) extend the support force by specifying and customizing their expertise and thus increase the value of customer service.

The first level of support is provided by local field application engineers, and the second level, which addresses more complex topics, is provided by dedicated automotive security experts. Dedicated on-site consulting can also be organized to help customers reduce development time and costs.
