About

Infineon's TRAVEO™ T2G microcontroller family for automotive instrument clusters features a new graphics architecture that enables a more robust and feature-rich graphics engine for display systems in automotive infotainment. These MCUs offer the most extensive scalability, covering conventional gauge instrument clusters as well as hybrid and virtual instrument clusters. Fueling this innovation is the powerful TRAVEO™ T2G cluster MCU family, fortified by up to two Arm® Cortex®-M7 cores clocked at up to 320 MHz. This configuration enables the attainment of ASIL-B/SIL-2 safety performance, setting a new industry standard. With memory capacities of up to 6 MB flash and 4 MB VRAM, the microcontrollers are equipped with an EVITA high-level HSM, fortifying security through hardware encryption accelerators and an enhanced Arm® Cortex®-M0+ dedicated hardware protection mechanism. Package options span from the versatile 327-pin BGA to the compact 144-pin TEQFP. The TRAVEO™ T2G MCUs feature a variety of embedded peripherals, including CAN-FD, LIN, Gigabit Ethernet, CXPI, a JPEG decoder, video input/output, and two serial memory interfaces (SMIF) for a comprehensive and robust solution.

Distinguishing itself from the convention, the graphics engine within these MCUs brings forth a remarkable reduction of 3-5 times the memory consumption for graphics processing. This optimization leads to a notable reduction in power consumption and overall costs. Bolstered by a sophisticated 2.5D graphics engine, TRAVEO™ T2G graphic microcontrollers effortlessly support fully immersive virtual instrument clusters with an impressive resolution of up to 2880 x 1080. Moreover, engineering samples of the new T2G-C series MCUs have already debuted, featuring an LPDDR4 interface and the capability to display intricate 3D scenes. This empowers designers with newfound freedom to craft state-of-the-art human-machine interfaces (HMIs) that captivate and engage users.

Infineon's HMI Tool Certification Program is meticulously crafted to enhance the user experience when employing HMI tools alongside our advanced TRAVEO™ T2G graphic controllers. Our esteemed partners who meet the criteria for Infineon's HMI Tool Certification undergo complete joint testing and evaluation of their integration with Infineon's reference use cases.

Through this collaborative methodology, Infineon aims to establish a network of reliable partners whose HMI tools seamlessly align with the key hardware capabilities of our microcontrollers. By combining TRAVEO™ T2G graphic controllers with these certified HMI tools, customers can confidently optimize their applications for peak performance.
