Overview

MOTIX™ MCU | motor control SoCs for brushed DC motor control based on Arm® Cortex® M are equipped with either a relay, half- or H-bridge driver, power supply and a LIN or CAN (FD) communication interface. They provide smallest system solutions for automotive brushed DC (BDC) motor control applications. Moreover, the TLE988x and TLE99xx families comprise variants that are ISO 26262-compliant (ASIL B) and have security relevant features.

The MOTIX™ TLE984x motor control SoC is based on the Arm® Cortex®-M0 microcontroller and integrates the relay driver, power supply and LIN communication interface on a single die.

Produced on Infineon’s first-in-industry automotive qualified 130 nm smart power technology, MOTIX™ TLE984x is designed to fit to a wide range of LIN-slave motor control applications such as window lifts and sunroofs. The mixed-signal MCU offers an unmatched level of integration as well as system cost to performance optimization for the target application segments.

    • Allows driving relays and MOSFETS at VBATT ≥ 6 V without external components

This single-phase solution utilizes either Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) or LIN for automotive brushed DC (BDC) motor control applications.
