CoolSET™ PWM fixed frequency (FF)

Infineon's CoolSET™ PWM fixed frequency (FF) family comprises state-of-the-art flyback power control ICs characterized by a high performance and multiple protection features. They are optimized for offline switch mode power supply (SMPS) in a cascode configuration. The FF ICs offer frequency reduction with soft gate driving and frequency jitter operation, which enable lower EMI and a better efficiency. CoolSET™ PWM FF controller have a wide operating range of IC power supply, a lower power consumption, and numerous protection functions including robust line protection, through which they support the protection of the power supply system in failure situations.

 

CoolSET™ PWM FF family is suitable for offline auxiliary SMPS for server, PC power, A/C units, refrigerator, audio and main SMPS for the adapter, set-top-box, water purifier, TV, industrial SMPS, and POE applications.

CoolSET™ PWM quasi-resonant (QR)

Infineon's CoolSET™ PWM quasi-resonant (QR) family comprises controllers optimized for offline switch mode power supply (SMPS) in cascode configuration. They offer an improved digital frequency reduction with Infineon's proprietary novel quasi-resonant operation, which brings lower EMI and higher efficiency for a wide AC range by reducing the switching frequency difference between the low and high lines. CoolSET™ PWM QR controllers have a wide operating range of IC power supply and a low power consumption. With their numerous protection functions including the robust line protection, they support the protection of the power supply system in failure situations.
