Infineon introduces the PSOC™ 4 HVMS series of products, providing a one-chip solution for smart edge-sensor designs for automotive, integrating programmable analog, multi-sense converter, high voltage (12 V) operation, and an Arm® Cortex® CPU. It enables smart edge-sensors integrating analog front-ends with multi-sense converter featuring the most advanced capacitive sensing solution with the 5th generation CAPSENSE™, programmable analog blocks (12-bit SAR ADC, op-amps), digital blocks (PWMs, serial communication blocks), high voltage operation, and enabling automotive functional safety level of ASIL-B according to ISO 26262.

  • Robust capacitive-sensing performance with very high SNR enabling elegant automotive HMI
  • Safe smart sensor and HMI designs with integrated functional safety features
  • Connects directly to a 12 V battery supply and to the LIN/CXPI network
  • Total system solution (hardware, software, and collaterals)

Drive Core for PSOC™ HV™

Infineon’s Drive Core is a scalable software bundle portfolio for AURIX™, TRAVEO™ and PSOC™ designed to accelerate automotive software development. Drive Core bundles pre-integrated software and tools from Infineon and third-party providers.

Infineon offers software packages for PSOC™ 4 HV devices are developed as per standard Automotive software development processes. The software is ASPICE qualified (MISRA 2012 AMD1, CERT C) and ISO 26262 compliant. Safety target up to ASIL B.  The software enables shorter time to market by reducing development time.

ModusToolbox™

ModusToolbox™ is a modern development environment supporting Infineon microcontroller devices, including automotive PSOC™ HV Arm Cortex Microcontrollers. It offers comprehensive and flexible code repositories on GitHub, providing board support packages, low-level resources, and middleware for industry-leading features like CAPSENSE, allowing for atomic access to only the necessary resources for a project.
