About

The CoolSET™ SiP ZVS quasi-resonant flyback controller integrates an 800 V / 950 V CoolMOS™ P7 MOSFET in a compact SMD package:

• The ZCM Series is capable of voltage zero-crossing detection with X-cap discharge after AC power-off.

• The XM Series offers input X-cap discharge after AC power-off and an enable pin ENS/ENP.

• The EM Series is characterized by an enable pin ENP/ENS to turn-on/off the primary-side LDO.

• The LM Series products incorporate an ENP pin and targets general and industrial SMPS applications.

Infineon’s CoolSET™ SiP family targets SMPS applications requiring high efficiency, compact integration, and robust performance. Key use cases include auxiliary power supplies for:

• Major home appliances (e.g., washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and heatings),

• Telecom PSU and AI/data center servers,

• Industrial SMPS.

Qualified for industrial applications according to the relevant tests of JEDEC47/20/22

• Planned certification according to IEC 60747-17 (VDE 0884-17).

• Planned certification according to UL 1577.

• Planned EN and CQC certification for IEC 62368-1 (safety for audio/video/IT equipment) and GB4943.1-2022.

• Planned certification according to IEC 60355-1 (safety for home appliance equipment).

• Planned certification according to IEC 61010-1 (lab equipment).

Primary side protection features

• AC line OVP is sensed via VINP pin

• VCCP OVP and UVP

• VCCP short to GNDP protection

• Primary peak current limitation OCP1 and OCP2

• Primary controller over temperature protection

• Brown-in and brown-out protection via HV pin

• Output over/under voltage protection via ZCDP pin

• ZCDP pin short to GNDP protection

• Primary close loop timeout protection
