About

Infineon offers a wide range of suitable solutions for these applications. Two-level topology, multi-level topology, or cascaded H-bridge solution, Infineon has the right products. In the lower-rated current range of less than 900 A, 62 mm modules and EconoDUAL™ 3 are suitable. For higher nominal currents we recommend PrimePACK™ IGBT Modules, IGBT modules in IHV housing, and XHP™ 3 modules. Our suitable answer for extreme lifetime requirements is our PrimePACK™ .XT.

Within the end applications like pumps, conveyors, propulsion, and many others, medium voltage drives are small in numbers but large in voltage and power compared to other industrial drives like general purpose drives. Medium voltage drive has its advantages as you can reduce installation space, weight, and the amount of copper used for cabling. Additional smaller or even no power transformer will be needed.

Medium voltage drives are used for critical infrastructure like water supply or in heavy industry applications like mining, oil and gas, raw materials, chemical, petrochemical, and cement industries, but also for ship propulsion. This results in the main application requirements becoming reliability, robustness, and compactness. Special focus is imparted to minimize downtime and predict upcoming events to schedule the maintenance, for example, when a ship is in the harbor and not while sailing.

NOR Flash is the perfect memory for embedded systems, offering fast random read performance and XIP (eXecute In Place) functionality. This allows direct code execution from NOR Flash without RAM copying. SRAM products extend the working memory of a System-on-Chip Solution.

The XMC4300 and XMC4800 are highly integrated Arm Cortex-M microcontrollers with EtherCAT, bringing real-time Ethernet communication to a new level. XMC4000 is the successor to traditional DSP/DSC and 32-bit MCU solutions.

The XENSIV™ current sensor family includes integrated current rail and sensors for external current rail sensors.
