About

Field-Oriented Control (FOC), also known as vector control, is a technique used to control Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) motors. Among the benefits of FOC are the possibility of delivering fast acceleration and deceleration of the motor, the accuracy of the control in high-performance motors, and the ability to deliver full torque even when the motor is not in movement.

Infineon’s FOC algorithm implementation requires real-time feedback of the currents and rotor position, provided by AURIX™ peripherals EVADC and GPT12.

The source code is fully supported by AURIX TC3xx Motor Control Application Kit

To support you during the evaluation of your product/board, Infineon Developer Center provides you two main sections:

Software: Find all software from Infineon

Tools: Find all tools from Infineon for evaluation
