About

While Infineon is proud of its ESD performance, portfolio and countless R&D hours gone into making the best ESD parts on the market, Infineon understands that there may be a possibility of other considerations in your system design which are more pressing. Choosing the best ESD protection part possible which uses the least of board space makes the job of protecting the system from ESD events quick and easy, leaving time to focus on the other parts of the system.

Most people are familiar with VESD (IEC61000-4-2 aka robustness) and more recently Rdyn (dynamic resistance). But as systems have become more and more sensitive to ESD events, the true measure of ESD protection is Vclamp (clamping voltage). Rdyn is extremely useful but as deep snapback devices have become more and more prevalent, Rdyn loses some of its value. Lower clamping voltage is ultimately what makes better protection. Infineon focuses on producing the lowest clamping parts in the industry to provide with the best protection you can get for the system.

Board space is money. Infineon offers a variety of outstanding solutions in the smallest package in use today for Si ESD, the tiny 01005. By focusing on the smallest single-line packages, Infineon enables protection only where it's needed and as close as possible to the ideal position as possible for the system.

Exceptional quality, reliability, and volume support so that when the design is done, it really is done.
