About

The PSOC™ 4000 family is a range of 32-bit microcontrollers based on the Arm® Cortex®-M0/M0+ architecture.

Advanced sensing capabilities:
The PSOC™ 4000 family features a range of advanced sensing capabilities, including capacitive sensing, inductive sensing, and liquid level sensing. These capabilities are combined into a single, integrated solution known as Multi-Sense, which enables designers to create modern sleek user interfaces.

32-bit MCU subsystem

  • 48-MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0+ CPU
  • Up to 64 KB of flash with read accelerator.
  • Up to 8 KB of SRAM

Programmable Analog Blocks

  • Up to 10-bit, 11.6 Ksps ADC
  • Up to 2 low power comparators

5th generation CAPSENSE™ technology:

  • Self-capacitive sensing
  • Mutual capacitive sensing
  • Inductive sensing
  • Liquid level sensing
  • Hover touch
  • Up to 36 programmable pins
  • Smart I/O

LCD drive capability

  • LCD segment drive capability on GPIOs
  • Five 16 bit-time/counter/pulse-width modulator (TCPWW) blocks
  • Two configurable serial communication blocks (SCBs) to support I2C, SPI or UART interface.
  • Operating Voltage: 1.71V to 5.5V

The PSOC™ 4000 family delivers the industry's leading capacitive sensing solution, supporting self and mutual configurations. The newest members of the family include 5th generation CAPSENSE™ technology with significant improvements in signal-to-noise ratio while reducing power consumption. The PSOC™ 4000 devices can be used to implement capacitive proximity, a capacitive keypad, a capacitive slider, a touchscreen, or a trackpad.

The PSOC™ 4's Multi-Sense solution integrates capacitive sensing, inductive sensing, and liquid level sensing onto a single chip, providing designers with flexibility and convenience. This approach simplifies system design, reduces component count, and enhances overall system performance.
