Overview

Magnetic wheel speed sensors are essential components for automotive safety-critical applications. Infineon's XENSIV™ magnetic wheel speed sensors are used wherever a shaft’s rotational speed is to be measured. Through advanced contactless magnetic sensing, these speed sensors measure different types of speed and report back via corresponding output signals, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.

About

The TLE55493IC is Infineon's next-generation magnetic wheel speed sensor family based on TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) technology. Linearized TMR brings together the best of GMR and Hall effect sensing technologies, delivering exceptional sensitivity, outstanding jitter performance, an ultra-wide linear range, and superior linearity for high-resolution speed measurement algorithms. Perfectly designed to meet customer requirements for autonomous parking, and low-speed driving. Electric vehicles (EVs) with fast torque response can be perfectly served with valid direction detection from the very first pulse. The complete TLE55493 sensor family is fully compliant with ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety process requirements and is available in 2 packages: PG-SSO-2-51 and PG-SSO-2-53.

The TLE5045IC/TLE5046SIC is Infineon's state-of-the-art magnetic wheel speed sensor family based on advanced GMR (Giant Magnetoresistance) technology. The family consists of a cost-optimized speed-only TLE5045IC and a high-end TLE5046SIC that provides not only accurate direction detection but also true "zero-speed" capability and advanced self-diagnostics functionality.

Both the TLE5045IC and TLE5046SIC sensors are developed and fully compliant with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements, fulfilling ASIL B and supporting ASIL D safety-critical systems. The TLE5046SIC speed sensor with direction detection is available with PWM or AK protocol, offering flexible integration into a wide range of applications.

The TLE4941PLUSC is one of Infineon's most widely adopted high-precision wheel speed sensors. Complemented by the TLE4942-1C and TLE4943C, this magnetic speed sensor family provides accurate direction detection via PWM or AK protocol. Leveraging advanced differential Hall effect sensing technology, these versatile single-chip speed sensors reliably measure wheel speed in real-time and are equally suitable for both pole wheel and steel wheel applications. Their robust differential sensing principle ensures exceptional immunity to magnetic stray fields, ferromagnetic particles, and electromagnetic interference (EMI), guaranteeing consistent performance in the most demanding environments.

The TLE55493ICD is Infineon's next-generation dual-die magnetic wheel speed sensor family based on advanced TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) technology. Linearized TMR brings together the best of GMR and Hall effect sensing technologies, delivering exceptional sensitivity, outstanding jitter performance, an ultra-wide linear range, and superior linearity for high-resolution speed measurement algorithms. Perfectly designed to meet customer requirements for autonomous parking and low-speed driving. Electric vehicles (EVs) with fast torque response can be perfectly served with valid direction detection from the very first pulse. The TLE55493ICD features two fully galvanically isolated sensors integrated in one slim package (PG-SSO-4-52), making it ideal for L3+ autonomous vehicles where redundancy is required. The complete TLE55493 family is fully compliant with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements, developed to fulfill ASIL C (D) standards.
