About

The AS585x and AS587x families are high-performance readout ICs for digital X-ray flat panel detectors and line scanners, representing optimized solutions over generations across performance tiers. They combine low-noise analog front ends with integrated high-resolution data conversion for precise and efficient pixel readout.

Charge-sensitive amplifiers with correlated double sampling minimize offset and flicker noise, enabling accurate signal acquisition even at very low doses while maintaining high dynamic range. This supports both high-quality imaging and dose-efficient operation.

256 channels, flexible programmability, the devices can be adapted to a wide range of detector sizes and use cases, from static radiography to high-speed dynamic imaging. Low line times, configurable binning, and multiple power modes enable cost-optimized performance scaling.

Chip-on-flex integration simplifies detector design and enables compact, highly integrated systems, making these ICs a robust foundation for modern X-ray platforms across medical, industrial, and security applications.

The large-scale CMOS family comprises advanced sensor solutions for high-resolution, high-speed digital X-ray imaging,  indirect detection. The platform combines large-area pixel arrays with signal processing to enable scalable, next-generation flat panel detector architectures.

Multiple pixel sizes and high fill factors support optimized sensitivity and resolution across applications.

High frame rates, low-noise operation, and programmable readout modes - including region-of-interest and pixel binning - enable excellent image quality while optimizing data throughput and dose efficiency.

The architecture supports tiling and stitching to realize large-area detectors, enabling flexible scaling for different system sizes. Combined with high sensitivity and low-dose capability, this ensures efficient, high-resolution imaging across medical, industrial, and security applications.

The AS590x and AS591x families are multi-channel detector interface ICs combining low-noise analog front ends with high-resolution current-to-digital conversion, enabling precise and efficient readout of photodiode-based detectors in CT systems and X-ray line scanners.

Each channel integrates charge integration, sample-and-hold, and multi-stage ADC conversion, delivering up to 26-bit resolution with ultra-low input-referred noise. This ensures excellent image quality and reliable signal integrity, even at low X-ray dose.

Supporting up to 512 channels with zero dead time and no charge loss, the devices enable simultaneous high-speed readout for demanding imaging systems. The integrated AFE allows direct connection to photodiode arrays, minimizing external circuitry.

On-chip voltage references, LDOs, temperature sensing, and calibration functions reduce system complexity, BOM, and footprint. A scalable architecture across 128, 256, and 512 channels enables flexible system designs, from compact line scanners to high-performance CT systems, while maintaining outstanding power-to-noise efficiency.
