Headquartered in Villach, Infineon Technologies Austria AG is a Group subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG. Austria is the only location of the Group outside of Germany where Infineon pools competences for research and development, production and global business responsibility.

At our Villach-site we offer 2hrs. to half-day site-visits with a program tailored to your specific interests. Our experts from different fields (electrical engineering, technical chemistry, physics etc.) will give you an insight on current research activities and products. The visit of our showroom including I4.0 topics is another highlight.

Due to limited capacities, we are happy to solely address the following target groups:

  • Students of technical universities and technical colleges (specializing in electrical engineering, electronics, informatics, technical chemistry, technical physics, materials science, mathematics and statistics)
  • Students of Higher Technical Schools (HTL)

Furthermore, Infineon Austria is partner of BBOK (Berufs- und Bildungsorientierung Kärnten) and SEMI HighTech University. Pupils from primary and high schools (lower grade, 13/14-year old) are therefore reached via these events.

To benefit as much as possible from the company visit, please be aware that the maximum number of 20 people must not be exceeded.

Arrival, check-in and your stay with us

At the day of your site-tour, please register at our reception (building 1) 10 minutes prior the event. Busses can park in front of building 1.

Please be aware that due to security reasons, it is not allowed to take any pictures on-site. Please leave your smartphones turned off during the event.

Please consider that transportation to our Villach site is individually and not organized and covered by Infineon Austria.

How to get to Infineon Villach

By car from Germany:

Take the A8, Salzburg bound. At the Salzburg intersection, change from the A8 onto the A10 heading for Graz, Villach, Italy. Follow the A10 for approx. 2.7 km. Leave the A2 at the Villach-Faakersee exit and take the direction of Villach Zentrum. Follow Maria-Gailer-Strasse for 600 m and turn right after the bridge. At the following crossroads turn right into Bruno-Kreisky-Strasse and follow the road for 1.3 km. Enter the roundabout and take the second exit. Follow this road for 500 m and enter the roundabout and take the third exit. Follow this road for 400 m.

By car from Graz/Vienna:

In Graz/Vienna take the A2, heading for Villach, Italy. Follow the A2 for approx. 350 km. Leave the A2 at the Villach-Faakersee exit and take the direction of Villach Zentrum. Follow Maria-Gailer-Strasse for 600 m and turn right after the bridge. At the following crossroads turn right into Bruno-Kreisky-Strasse and follow the road for 1.3 km. Enter the roundabout and take the second exit. Follow this road for 500 m and enter the roundabout and take the third exit. Follow this road for 400 m.

By car from Italy:

At Tarvisio border from Italy, change from the A23 onto the A2 heading for Villach. Follow the A2 for 20 km. Leave the A2 at the Villach-Faakersee exit and take the direction of Villach Zentrum. Follow Maria-Gailer-Strasse for 600 m and turn right after the bridge. At the following crossroads turn right into Bruno-Kreisky-Strasse and follow the road for 1.3 km. Enter the roundabout and take the second exit. Follow this road for 500 m and enter the roundabout and take the third exit. Follow this road for 500 m.

By Air Transport:

Klagenfurt airport. You can either take a taxi straight to Infineon Technologies AG, Siemensstrasse 2, 9500 Villach, or take a rental car at the airport. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Klagenfurt to Villach.

By train:

Villach main station. Take a taxi straight to Infineon Technologies Austria AG , Siemensstrasse 2, 9500 Villach. Public busses (nr. 8/11 or 11/8) leave every 15 minutes from Villach main station directly to Siemensstraße.
