High-side switch ICs for a variety of applications

PROFET™ + 12V is a high-side switch IC family characterized by its high short-circuit robustness, driving load currents from 0.5 A to 11 A. The family is pin-to-pin compatible within itself and with the PROFET™ + 24V family, simplifying design reuse.

PROFET™ + 24V high-side switches are designed for higher voltage supply systems and harsh operating environments including trucks, buses, and construction and agricultural vehicles (CAV). The scalable family offers 12 pin-to-pin compatible devices, comprehensive protection functions, very fast current sense diagnosis, and an extended operating voltage range.

PROFET™ +2 12V, our latest smart high-side power switch family, offers more accurate current sense diagnostics and protection for nominal load currents from 1 A to 32 A. Pin-to-pin compatible packages (TSDSO-14 and TSDSO-24) enable design flexibility, low power dissipation, and PCB space savings. The family includes AEC-Q 100 Grade 1 and Grade 0 devices for high ambient temperature applications and is available as a PRO-SIL™ ISO 26262-ready intelligent power high-side switch.

PROFET™ Wire Guard family for functional safety applications

Achieve precise, hardware-based wire protection with the PROFET™ Wire Guard automotive eFuse portfolio. Embedded I²t calculation functions, selectable according to the wire profile and system requirements, enable simple, reliable fuse replacement in modern power distribution, optimizing wire harness cost, weight, and PCB space.

The automatic idle mode delivers full-load control and self-protection in key-off mode with minimized power consumption. Combined with an adjustable overcurrent threshold, the high-side FET switch accurately provides fast failure isolation towards the system power supply for safety-relevant applications.

Sequential diagnosis provides detailed status feedback via a single pin, while the capacitive load-switching mode enables safe charging of a broad range of capacitive loads within the safe operating area.

Developed in accordance with ISO 26262 and supplied with a safety manual, the PROFET™ Wire Guard family is the fully protected high-side power MOSFET switch solution for automotive safety applications.

Classic PROFET™ 12V is an established high current load switch family designed for currents from 0.5 A to 20 A, offering high-energy capability, an extended voltage range, and 6 different packages. Some devices also feature a low current limitation threshold for added design flexibility.

Classic PROFET™ 24V is designed specifically for commercial, agriculture, and transport vehicles, ABS, fuel injection, and more. In addition to the features and benefits of the 12 V family, Classic PROFET™ 24V offers a high clamping voltage (up to 75 V) and PWM capability, and is available in 8 different packages capable of driving up to 8 channels.
