What is special about working at Infineon?

Infineon values individual contributions, while at the same time emphasizing the importance of teamwork in reaching common goals. It is a company that advocates work-life balance despite the day-to-day challenges.

What are your main tasks?

I work with engineering and quality teams to optimize process technologies. I lead a pool of unit process experts for package assembly development that support new products. I manage their competency and career development. Part of my job is to also define business process models and systems to help the organization develop products faster and more efficiently. Sometimes, I engage with customers, answering technical questions on new projects directly.

What are the results of your work?

I am part of a team that qualified the antennas and switches of the latest smartphones, tablets, and wearables. I have also developed processes to package automotive sensors.

Getting the chance to mold individuals, helping them to grow and realize their full potential, and being part of a team that builds products that make life better.

What are your biggest challenges?

The most challenging thing ‒ but also the most rewarding ‒ is keeping customers satisfied. And by “customers”, I meant both my internal customers and Infineon’s.

What are you most proud of?

My team. The individuals that are with me now, who continue to come up with creative solutions. I am also proud of the engineers who were part of my team ‒ those who have moved on to other fields or moved up to lead their own teams. I’m proud of what they have become.
