TRENCHSTOP™ 5 WR5 is a special reverse-conducting IGBT family with optimized current rating diode best suited for applications such as PFC stage in air conditioner and welding power supplies. These IGBTs offer good performance at an attractive price.

The Reverse Conducting TRENCHSTOPTM IGBT WR5 is offered in TO247 standard package and TO247-3HCC package in 30 A. It’s designed for residential aircon, heatpump, and HVAC and offers value in terms of system cost, efficiency, ease of use, reliability, and power density. It provides optimal price performance, efficient cooling with reduced VCEsat, Eon & Eoff, and acts as a drop-in replacement with excellent thermal performance. The TO-247-3-HCC package further enhances pin-to-pin clearance and creepage distance, improving isolation voltage rating for a longer lifetime. With the HCC package, it’s against system failure in harsh environments and can handle higher output power or switching frequency.
