Infineon is one of the world's leading companies in the semiconductor industry. The Infineon Bangkok production site had a long-standing presence in Nonthaburi since 1989 and operated as a backend manufacturing and assembly network serving international semiconductor markets.

Today, with its new backend manufacturing site in Bangkok, Infineon is deliberately strengthening the resilience, flexibility, and future readiness of its global manufacturing network. Strategically located in the heart of Southeast Asia, the site combines advanced automation, scalable design, and broad technological capabilities to support long-term growth in a growing semiconductor market. This makes Infineon Bangkok built for scale and ready for the future.

The Bangkok site is more than a new facility: it is a strategic investment in competitive, reliable, and sustainable manufacturing for the future. Built on strong local expertise and long-term partnerships in Thailand’s flourishing semiconductor ecosystem, the site enhances the ability of Infineon to manufacture complex, high-value products that enable technologies driving electrification, energy efficiency, and digitalization worldwide.

Samut Prakan provides an ideal location for the new backend production fab, offering proximity to our existing facilities, excellent transportation infrastructure, and favourable business conditions that make it attractive for the global backend operations of Infineon.

The setup for Module A land size sits at 200,000 square meters with a cleanroom space up to 30,000 square meters and scalable according to demand. The new site will focus on Power Modules and Discretes, Wafer Test as well as Research and Development activities. Module A is designed to incorporate sustainability features with 100 percent green electricity, water recycling target of 25 percent and rainwater harvesting system.

Strategically located in the heart of Southeast Asia, Bangkok integrates seamlessly into the globally diversified production footprint of 13 manufacturing sites worldwide of Infineon. The site is designed as a strategic pillar that reinforces the ability of Infineon to serve customers worldwide, even as markets shift and supply chains evolve. Built for deliberate growth, the facility can scale from Module A up to five modules in the future, giving Bangkok the potential to become one of the largest backend sites of Infienon over time.
