A long‑term investment in Thailand

The opening of the Bangkok manufacturing site reflects the long-term commitment of Infineon to Thailand’s semiconductor ambitions. The new site is supported by close cooperation with the Thai government and the Board of Investment (BOI), including BOI certification and investment support. The investment of Infineon significantly supports the regional ecosystem and aligns with Thailand's national semiconductor technology strategy.

Infineon actively contributes to this development with continuous investment in talent development, and operational reliability. Energy-efficient production

The production of semiconductors requires a high energy input. Energy-efficient production is therefore of crucial importance to us. Sustainability is built in from the ground up: Module A runs on 100 percent green electricity, with 25 percent water recycling, rainwater collection systems and LEED Silver certification. LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) means that commercial and residential buildings are sustainable, highly efficient and cost-saving in their use. Our new factory building in Bangkok is therefore in line with the  overall sustainability goals of Infineon. Together, these measures support resource-efficient manufacturing without compromising performance.
