CY14B256I-SFXIT is a 256 Kbit (32 K × 8) serial nvSRAM with integrated real-time clock, using an I2C interface from 100 kHz to 3.4 MHz. It combines SRAM with QuantumTrap nonvolatile storage, supporting AutoStore on power-down and RECALL on power-up, plus software and HSB hardware STORE. Operates at 2.7 V to 3.6 V over −40°C to 85°C in a 16-pin SOIC, with 20-year data retention and 1M STORE cycles.

Features

  • 256-Kbit nvSRAM (32 K × 8)
  • AutoStore on power-down
  • Software STORE/RECALL via I2C
  • Hardware STORE via HSB pin
  • Power-up RECALL restores SRAM
  • I2C up to 3.4 MHz (Hs-mode)
  • 1 mA avg at 3.4 MHz
  • 250 µA standby current max
  • 8 µA sleep mode current max
  • 20-year retention at 85°C
  • 1M STORE cycles to QuantumTrap
  • RTC: alarm, WDT, SQW 1 Hz-32 kHz

Benefits

  • SRAM speed with nonvolatile data
  • Saves data automatically on power loss
  • Firmware can force NV save/restore
  • Pin-triggered save for fast response
  • Instant restore after power returns
  • Fast I2C fits high-throughput buses
  • Low active current cuts power budget
  • Low standby current extends uptime
  • Sleep current supports battery designs
  • Long retention protects stored data
  • High endurance reduces wear concerns
  • RTC functions cut external components
