Infineon's BCR431U is used as an LED driver IC on this LED lighting board driving eight LEDs. It regulates the LED current in standalone operation without any external power transistor. The LED current level is preset to 15mA and can be adjusted via a high-ohmic resistor up to 37mA.

Features

  • Typical 115mV saturation voltage at 15mA
  • Typical input voltage 24V using onboard LEDs
  • Default LED current 15mA (adjustable up to 37mA)
  • Smart over temperature protection

Benefits

  • Very low voltage drop allows to use more LEDs (in a string)
  • Stable output current for homogenous light output
  • Smart overtemperature protection to avoid degradation of LEDs over lifetime
