Overview

Infineon's family of OptiMOS™ N-channel power MOSFETs in 7 x 8 mm small TO-Leadless (sTOLL) packages set the benchmark for very low RDS(on) and high-current capabilities. The package features a grooved gate and source pins allowing for simple automatic optical inspection.

Coupled with the OptiMOS™ MOSFET technology, the new sTOLL 7.0x8.0 mm package provides advantages over the traditional SMD packages such as DPAK (TO-252) and D²PAK (TO-263). The sTOLL package provides higher current capability in a smaller form factor without sacrificing thermal performance. In addition, the sTOLL package minimizes the package resistance and stray inductances, resulting in improved switching behavior (compared to traditional DPAK and D²PAK packages).

sTOLL is the ideal solution for battery-powered applications including industrial robotics, power tools, and gardening tools. The very low RDS(on) and high current ratings (continuous and pulsed) increase the battery run time and enable higher power density designs.

The product portfolio consists of normal-level (NL) gate threshold voltage providing higher immunity even at high temperatures against induced turn-on, providing customers sufficient design margin and flexibility.
