About

The core of the Automotive PSOC™ 4200M family is a 48 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0 CPU, offering exceptional processing power for your automotive applications. With single-cycle multiply instructions, your algorithms run faster and more efficiently than ever before. Flash goes up to 128 KB, complete with the read accelerator technology.

This allows for lightning-fast access to your program code, ensuring responsive and reliable performance. Incorporating up to 16 KB of SRAM, the Automotive PSOC™  4200M  microcontroller family supports advanced capacitive sensing applications. This feature enables precise touch and proximity sensing, enhancing user interfaces and controls in your automotive designs. Unparalleled signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and water tolerance with Infineon capacitive sigma-delta technology - this innovation guarantees exceptional sensitivity and robustness in capacitive touch applications, even in challenging environments.

Designed for space constrained automotive applications, our 64-pin TQFP and 48-pin TQFP packages MCUs offers a compact yet powerful solution where size matters.

In terms of serial communication, the Automotive PSOC™ 4200M family boasts of four independent run-time-reconfigurable SCBs. These SCBs support reconfigurable I2C, SPI, UART, or LIN 1.3, 2.1/2.2 functionality, providing versatile communication options for your automotive systems with up to 51 programmable GPIO pins. Any GPIO pin can be configured for CAPSENSE™, LCD, analog, or digital functions, giving you the freedom to tailor your design to your exact specifications.

The family offers a range of analog capabilities, including four opamp with reconfigurable high-drive external and high-bandwidth internal drive. It also supports comparator mode and ADC input buffering capability. Also, Automotive PSOC™ 4200M offers high-resolution ADC with a 12-bit 1 Msps SAR ADC with differential and single-ended modes.

The integrated channel sequencer with signal averaging ensures accurate data acquisition for your applications. Four current DACs are available for general-purpose or capacitive sensing applications on any pin, providing flexibility in your analog circuitry. Two low-power comparators operate even in deep-sleep mode, ensuring system functionality while conserving power.

  • More programmable analog and digital blocks
  • Expanded memory
  • New peripherals
  • Higher number of I/Os
  • Smart sense auto-tuning
  • Prevents false touches caused by liquids
  • Implements advanced proximity sensing
  • Reduced system costs
  • Reduces radiated emissions
  • Complies with standard emission and immunity specifications like CISPR 25, ISO 11452, IEC 61967, and IEC 62132
