  • Infineon signs contracts with PNE AG and Statkraft, two leading suppliers in the renewable energy sector, for the purchase of electricity from wind and solar power
  • With the Power Purchase Agreements, the company secures green energy for its German sites at a stable price over ten and five-year terms
  • The move supports the company's goal of switching its worldwide locations to 100 percent green power this year; at the same time Infineon supports the transformation of the electricity market

Munich, Germany – 15 October 2025 – Infineon Technologies AG has concluded Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with PNE AG and Statkraft for green electricity. Over the next ten years, Infineon will purchase green electricity from PNE AG's Schlenzer and Kittlitz III wind farms in Brandenburg in Germany to supply its sites in Dresden, Regensburg, Warstein and Neubiberg near Munich. Seven turbines in the PNE AG wind farms offer a total capacity of 24 MW and a contracted electricity volume of 550 GWh. Statkraft will additionally supply German locations with renewable electricity from solar parks in Spain with a total volume of 220 GWh over the next five years.

"Semiconductors from Infineon are driving decarbonization and are in every second newly installed wind turbine worldwide," says Elke Reichart, Member of the Management Board of Infineon and Chief Digital & Sustainability Officer. "Our commitment to specific green power plants via Power Purchase Agreements actively supports both the green energy transition and the achievement of our own climate targets."

Infineon aims to switch its global operations to 100% green electricity this year and become CO2-neutral for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. Infineon has been using green electricity in Germany and Europe since the 2021 fiscal year. By concluding Power Purchase Agreements for specific wind and solar power plants in Brandenburg and Spain, the company is now securing its long-term green electricity requirements and supporting the expansion of renewable energies.
