A dedicated precision reference-regulator supplies the microcontroller's ADC independent of load steps to guarantee measurement accuracy, while independent voltage trackers act as protected sources for off-board sensors, offering robust short-to-battery protection. The flexible state machine, featuring an ultra-low quiescent current standby mode and a cyclic wake-up timer, favors energy-efficient usage in a broad range of automotive applications. Comprehensive safety features, including a configurable monitoring unit, functional and window watchdogs, and a safe state controller, enable easy realization of ASIL D systems according to ISO 26262.
