The FM24C64B-G is a 64-Kbit (8K × 8) serial F-RAM with an I2C interface, offering nonvolatile data storage with 100 trillion read/write cycles and 151-year data retention at 65°C. Operating from 4.5 V to 5.5 V and supporting up to 1 MHz I2C, it features low active (100 μA at 100 kHz) and standby (4 μA typ) currents. Its 8-pin SOIC package enables direct EEPROM replacement in industrial, data logging, and control applications, ensuring high reliability and RoHS compliance.

Features

  • 64-Kbit nonvolatile F-RAM, 8K × 8
  • 100 trillion (10¹⁴) read/write endurance
  • 151-year data retention at 65°C
  • NoDelay™ instant write technology
  • Up to 1 MHz I2C serial interface
  • Supports 100 kHz and 400 kHz I2C timings
  • Low active current: 100 μA at 100 kHz
  • Low standby current: 4 μA typical
  • Wide supply voltage: 4.5 V to 5.5 V
  • Industrial temperature: –40°C to +85°C
  • Schmitt trigger inputs for noise immunity
  • Write protect pin for data security

Benefits

  • Enables reliable data storage for decades
  • Withstands frequent, unlimited write cycles
  • Eliminates write delays for faster operation
  • Drop-in replacement for I2C EEPROM
  • Reduces power usage in active/standby modes
  • Operates in harsh industrial environments
  • Maintains data integrity in noisy systems
  • Protects critical data from accidental writes
  • Supports legacy and high-speed I2C systems
  • Simplifies design with standard I2C interface
  • No need for data polling after writes
  • Reduces system overhead and complexity
