CY14MB064Q2A-SXQ is a 64-Kbit (8K × 8) SPI nvSRAM that combines SRAM with QuantumTrap nonvolatile storage for automatic data STORE on power-down and RECALL on power-up, with infinite SRAM read/write cycles. It operates from 2.7 V to 3.6 V over -40°C to +105°C, supports 40 MHz SPI (modes 0 and 3), and offers 250 µA max standby and 20 µA max sleep current plus write/block protection.

Features

  • 64-Kbit nvSRAM, 8K x 8 array
  • QuantumTrap nonvolatile elements
  • AutoStore on power-down via VCAP
  • STORE/RECALL via SPI instructions
  • 40 MHz SPI clock for read/write
  • SPI mode 0 and mode 3 support
  • 8-byte serial number (RDSN/WRSN)
  • Manufacturer ID and Product ID
  • Software write disable (WRDI)
  • Block protect 1/4, 1/2, or full
  • 5 mA max ICC at 40 MHz (3 V)
  • Sleep mode current 20 uA max

Benefits

  • Keeps data with no battery
  • Fast writes with no wait states
  • Saves state automatically at power loss
  • SPI STORE/RECALL eases system control
  • 40 MHz fits fast control loops
  • Works with common SPI hosts
  • Unique ID enables traceability
  • Easy device identification in-system
  • Prevents accidental writes
  • Protects critical config blocks
  • Low active current cuts power
  • Sleep mode extends standby life
