CY14B064I-SFXIT is a 64-Kbit (8K × 8) serial (I2C) nvSRAM with integrated real-time clock. It operates from 2.7 V to 3.6 V and supports I2C up to 3.4 Mbit/s (Hs-mode), with zero cycle delay reads and writes. QuantumTrap nonvolatile elements enable AutoStore on power-down and RECALL on power-up, with 20-year retention at 85°C and 1 million STORE cycles. It is offered in a 16-pin SOIC, industrial -40 to 85°C.

Features

  • 64-Kbit nvSRAM (8K x 8)
  • AutoStore on power-down
  • Software STORE/RECALL via I2C
  • Hardware STORE via HSB pin
  • Power-up RECALL restores SRAM
  • I2C high-speed mode up to 3.4 MHz
  • Zero-cycle read and write access
  • 8 µA sleep mode current
  • 250 µA standby mode current
  • 20-year retention at 85°C
  • 1M STORE cycles to QuantumTrap
  • RTC alarm, WDT, SQW outputs

Benefits

  • Retains data with no firmware
  • Prevents loss on sudden power-off
  • NV save/restore under software control
  • Pin-controlled backup for test
  • Fast restart with saved system state
  • Higher I2C throughput at 3.4 MHz
  • SRAM speed with NV safety
  • 8 µA sleep extends backup life
  • 250 µA standby cuts idle power
  • 20-year retention reduces service
  • 1M STORE cycles supports logging
  • RTC functions reduce extra ICs
