 Lead Principal Engineer WBG Quality and Reliability

Dr. Marco Silvestri holds BS, MS and PhD in electronics engineering from Padova University, Italy, with major on reliability and ionizing radiation effects in deep submicron CMOS technologies. He was visiting PhD researcher at the Vanderbilt University, Nashville-TN, in 2008 working on AlGaN/GaN transistor electron transport simulations and reliability.

He joined Thales Alenia Space, Italy, in 2010 working on radiation analysis and support of spacecraft electronics and shielding structures of ISS modules. He has been postdoc researcher at the Bristol University, UK, working on advanced trapping characterization techniques and reliability of AlGaN/GaN transistors.

He joined Infineon Technologies Austria in 2013 as Senior Engineer supporting reliability investigation in the technology development of HV-GaN, RF-GaN, and later MV-GaN projects. In 2015 he joined BU-QM working on the reliability and qualification of new HV and MV GaN products.  He has been with Huawei R&D center in Nuremberg, Germany as expert WBG semiconductors quality and reliability from 2020 to 2023.

Since 2023 he is Lead Principal Engineer leading the MV GaN PL73 team in the GaN BL.
