The Smart Power Fab in Dresden is Infineon’s strong signal – to Germany, to Europe, to the world. The Dresden site has for decades been the center of Europe's largest microelectronics cluster, Silicon Saxony. The new Smart Power Fab continues this success story. As one of the most advanced and flexible semiconductor factories in Europe, the Smart Power Fab was completed at exactly the right time and will produce billions of chips annually. In doing so, Infineon is strengthening the European manufacturing base for semiconductors to drive decarbonization and digitalization – two of the most pressing key topics of our time.
