Our XENSIV™ family includes integrated pressure sensors that tick all these boxes with PSI5 peripheral sensor interfaces for safety-critical use cases.
Our digital interface portfolio also comes with serial parallel interfaces (SPI) for common powertrain and body applications such as barometric air pressure (BAP), fuel vapor and seat comfort sensing. Looking to the future, XENSIV™ even includes sensors that comply with the single edge nibble transmission (SENT) protocol with short PWM code (SPC) functionality to support upcoming engine management products such as manifold absolute pressure sensors (MAP), turbo MAPs (with a negative temperature coefficient or NTC) and secondary air valves.
Small size, low power consumption and highest precision for consumer applications
Our XENSIV™ family of digital barometric pressure sensors also gives designers the best choice when it comes to mobile and wearable devices. Highlights include small form factors to facilitate system integration, highest precision and relative accuracy over a wide temperature range, fast read-out speeds via the serial I2C/SPI interface, and low power consumption to ensure longer battery lifetimes.
All sensors have a FIFO buffer that can store the latest 32 measurements. Since the host processor can remain in sleep mode for a longer period between readouts, the FIFO buffer can reduce system power consumption further.
DPS310 is the number one option for applications where power consumption and precision are critical. If environmental protection is also required, DPS368 is the best match as it can be used in harsh environments due to its robustness against water, dust and humidity. In addition, it facilitates board handling in assembly lines. For extremely space-critical applications, DPS422 with its ultra-thin package is the perfect fit.
