Passionate about his work, he likes to think creatively and strategically in his mission to equip mobile and IoT devices with Infineon’s best-in-class RF solutions.

William in five words:

StrategicThinker SolutionFinder Networker CreativeThinker CoffeeAddict

Working at Infineon, one of the world’s top 10 semiconductor companies, is a fantastic experience. I enjoy working with some of the smartest people in the business, and witnessing myself improve day by day.

My ultimate task is to equip mobile and IoT devices with Infineon’s best-in-class RF solutions. To accomplish this ultimate task, I fill my calendar with strategic thinking and execution sessions, deep customer engagements, and cross-team collaborations.

We deliver best-in-class RF connections to mobile phones, smart watches, and IoT devices. For example, Infineon’s GPS LNA in smart watches helps end users to stay on track without sacrificing battery life.

As a new hire from a different market segment, I bring new ideas and resources to the table, which I believe will help the business to go a step further.

Coming from a different market segment to this highly competitive segment is quite challenging. However, Infineon and myself are willing to step up to the challenge and look for new possibilities.

It depends on what market segment one is in. In terms of my segment, which is extremely fast-paced, good and on time is the way to keep the wheels rolling.

In my role, I can actively shape the rise of silicon carbide in different industries. It is exciting to be part of an ongoing technology revolution that is key to saving our planet. Purpose-driven work in an international environment with no routine ever – that’s what I call a dream job.

Eva Director Product Marketing in Villach, Austria

Making Infineon the partner of choice for SiC

Director Product Marketing since 2021, Eva joined Infineon as a marketing assistant in 2013. Working with the Industrial Power & Control division, she is responsible for driving SiC go-to-market activities and thereby keeping SiC technology and products on the growth track. Proactive by nature, she believes in doing rather than talking. Endurance is important in her work, enabling her to take a different path and re-focus if needed. And giving up is never an option.

Eva in five words:

Enthusiast Communicator Entrepreneur Allrounder WorldExplorer

It’s the variety. No routine – ever. In my years here at Infineon, I have never had a week or even a day that was the same as another. It’s exciting to open your laptop in the morning and start connecting with colleagues from various sites, tackling a variety of topics, and doing this all from Villach, Munich, Shanghai, or Seoul. It opens your mind and makes you aware of what is going on around you, beyond your own responsibilities. Ultimately an open mind is the best basis to generate new ideas and see potential synergies.

I am responsible for the IPC divisional go-to-market strategy for silicon carbide technology and products. In this role, I ensure that our CoolSiC™ brand and products are properly positioned, and define the necessary steps to achieve this. Another aspect that comes with my work is the cross-functional harmonization of marketing activities, which is crucial in order to speak with one voice and move toward our joint goal: to be the partner of choice when it comes to SiC products.

Our silicon carbide products are everywhere, also in the applications that are making our world a greener place – from EV charging stations to solar inverters, and much, much more. When customers choose to use our SiC products, they can build systems that are more efficient, robust, and sustainable.

I get excited about connecting the dots – putting the pieces together, fitting them into the big picture and working together with colleagues from different functions to turn a plan into a tangible outcome. That’s enlightening me everyday. Besides content, it is also about all the cultures I get to know. It broadens your horizons to experience different working styles and viewpoints in every single project.

Not having the ability to teleport myself. Even if a virtual set-up is becoming the new standard, I appreciate face-to-face interactions. With all the interesting projects and activities we have on the go, it would be great to simply hop to Munich in the morning, Shenzhen at lunch time, Warstein for an afternoon session, and be back in Villach by the end of the day.

Stay enthusiastic and persistent – but accept that any trigger you initiate needs time to evolve. Life is dynamic and at times there is a need to re-route from your original plan, which will very often take you down unexpected paths. It is those paths that provide you the deepest learnings and often lead to a much better end result than originally expected. Embrace these changes with diligence and a smile :)

If you love working with people, are crazy about adding value, and want to unleash your entrepreneurial spirit, product marketing and management is perfect for you.

Infineon has its finger on the pulse and is a very innovative and efficient company.

My daily focus is on intelligent power modules that help improve the energy efficiency of home appliances worldwide.

An example of what I am working on can be seen here.

Enthusiastic team spirit and promising new products.

As the company is very big with lots of people working on dedicated specific tasks, it can be challenging to see the big picture, especially as a new addition to the team.

An open, honest, and motivating work atmosphere.
