What are your main tasks?

Failure analysis and failure identification in power semiconductor modules. 

What are the results of your work?

Failure analysis reports, which can help the customer to find out the root cause of their application failure, and help Infineon to optimize its products. Overall, stronger customer relationships and greater customer satisfaction. 

What are your job highlights?

There was a project at a key customer site, which was important but stopped because of an unknown failure in the PV system. Through my analysis, we found out the root cause in their system. It was concealed deep within the system so the customer was very happy.

What are your biggest challenges?

To know the development history of our products – which is crucial to the failure mechanism.

What are the failures that you most cherish?

There was a tiny point which I just ignored during the analysis. But in the end, we identified that it really was the reason for the failure. What I have learnt is that we must stay alert to every abnormal finding
