Jörg Eisenschmied (44) has held management positions in Finance and Controlling for the Infineon Group since 2011. In his new position on the Management Board of Infineon Austria, the native Styrian will be responsible for finance and purchasing as well as the financial business responsibility of the "Green Energy Control" unit of the Green Industrial Power (GIP) division. Prior to Infineon, Jörg Eisenschmied held senior positions in Corporate Controlling at voestalpine Railway Systems, among others.

"The Infineon Austria site makes an important contribution to the Group's success through its combination of production, research and development, and business responsibility. I am very much looking forward to shaping the economic and strategic future of Infineon Austria in my new role. Driving the major topics of decarbonization and digitalization forward is close to my heart”, emphasizes Jörg Eisenschmied.

Oliver Heinrich (56), who has been Chief Financial Officer at Infineon Austria since 2012, will move to the company's Munich headquarters as of 1 November 2023. There, the native German will take over the finance management of the Infineon Frontend Cluster and thus the commercial responsibility for six production sites. These include Villach (Austria), Dresden (Germany), Regensburg (Germany), Kulim (Malaysia), and Austin and Mesa (USA).

"I am leaving Villach for Munich with one eye laughing and one eye crying. In my more than ten years as CFO of Infineon Austria, I was not only able to help shape the profitable growth in Austria. It has also always been a great personal concern of mine to contribute to the development of the Villach region and to make it even better known and more attractive to skilled workers as a technology hotspot," emphasizes Oliver Heinrich. "I would like to thank all employees and companions for the outstanding years in Carinthia. I look forward to continuing to support the Villach production site from a global perspective in my new role and to continuing to play an active role in shaping the Group's path of profitable growth from a manufacturing perspective."

Oliver Heinrich has also driven numerous sustainability projects at Infineon in Austria, including the successful development of corporate mobility management, the expansion of public transport, or reforestation and education projects, such as the support of now four Caritas Learning Cafés. As a member of the board of the Carinthian International Club (CIC) in Villach, he also played a key role in setting up this platform and service point for international professionals.

Jörg Eisenschmied will join Sabine Herlitschka, Chief Executive Officer, and Thomas Reisinger, Member of the Management Board for Operations, to form the management team of Infineon Technologies Austria AG as of November 1.

"As Chief Financial Officer, Oliver Heinrich has been responsible for the strong growth and the associated substantial expansion of the workforce in Austria, despite the challenges of recent years, in a prudent and forward-looking manner. The most significant investment here is the new chip factory in Villach. On behalf of the entire Management Board, I would like to thank Oliver Heinrich for his achievements and his personal dedication to Infineon Austria. In his new position, he will remain closely associated with the Villach production site, and I look forward to continuing our cooperation in this new constellation," said Sabine Herlitschka, CEO Infineon Austria. "At the same time, I am pleased that the Supervisory Board has appointed Jörg Eisenschmied as a new member of the Management Board.
