This balancing and monitoring IC monitors up to 16 channels in lithium-ion battery packs. The IC's main functions consist of measuring cell voltage, monitoring temperature, balancing cells, and enabling isolated communication with the main battery controller. To ensure safe operation, the IC is equipped with a range of diagnostic tools to account for the safety needs of individuals around the managed battery
