Datasheet comparison of TLS850D0TE V33 and TLS850C2TE V33

The Infineon OPTIREG™ linear portfolio include the high performance linear voltage regulator family, which boast with very low dropout voltage and quiescent current, while still supplying all the power that is required by the system. These LDOs are designed to supply systems permanently connected to the battery and to withstand cranking conditions. The key benefits are high voltage accuracy, fast regulation, low dropout and very good stability, as well as some safety features such as overtemperature shutdown, undervoltage reset and output current limitation. This document is a so-called delta sheet, which presents a comparison for replacement purposes of two Infineon OPTIREG™ linear devices, which have 500 mA current capability and a regulated output voltage of 3.3 V. A detailed comparison table of the package dimensions, pin functionality and relevant parameters is presented for the older TLS850D0TE V33 and the proposed replacement device, the new TLS850C2TE V33. The data was analyzed with special focus on typical automotive application and the key differences that need to be considered in external components and device functionalities to assist the switchover to the newer device.
