LITIX™ Power
DC-DC converter and controller for medium and high-power applications
Especially for design driven frontlight functions like day-time-running lights (DRL) LEDs are already today the first choice in middle class cars and more and more middle class cars are getting basic LED headlamps at least as option. Those LED solutions are usually using several discrete LEDs in one chain with string voltages of up to 60V or less LEDs with high forward current of even 3 A or more. Both implementations require DC-DC solutions and either boost, buck or buck-boost architectures are needed. The LITIX™ Power family consists of DC-DC devices which are perfectly fulfilling these requirements. As all LITIX™ Power devices come without SPI there are first choice where a basic feature set is sufficient or where a Microcontroller is not used.
Infineon just launched the new LITIX™ Power TLD5099EP which is a flexibly usable DC-DC boost controller with built in diagnosis and protection features especially designed to drive LEDs.
