Infineon offers a wide range of automotive qualified gate driver ICs covering the usage of MOSFET, IGBT and SiC technologies in automotive applications ranging from 12 V up to 1200 V. Built-in protection, monitoring and diagnostic features facilitate to meet ISO26262 functional safety requirements.
Infineon´s automotive qualified gate driver ICs cover the low voltage domain of 12 V and 48 V applications with ISO26262 compliant full-bridge and 3-phase bridge drivers. The products are ideal for a variety of automotive applications such as electric power steering, brake booster, MHEV starter generator, active roll control, HVAC compressor as well as pumps and fans and where efficiency, space savings and monitoring functions are priorities.
Infineon´s automotive EiceDRIVER™ provide galvanic isolation for automotive applications above 5kW such as the main inverter, DCDC converter and on-board charger in (hybrid) electric vehicles and support IGBT and SiC technologies up to 1200V.
Our fast switching automotive High Voltage ICs increase efficiency in all high voltage auxiliary applications such as HVAC compressor, PTC Heater, on-board Charger as well as pumps and fans to maximize performance in (hybrid) electric vehicles.
The Infineon EiceDRIVER™ family includes single and dual channel automotive IGBT Driver IC’s providing galvanic isolation and bidirectional signal transmission with high ambient temperature capability. They enable extremely short propagation delays keeping the designer’s flexibilities at the highest level, while providing galvanic isolation using the robust Infineon coreless transformer (CT) technology. They support IGBT and SiC technologies up to 1200V. Advanced monitoring and protection features facilitate the implementation of ISO26262 functional safety requirements. The products operate stable in harsh EMC environments.
The products are based on a RoHS conform and robust package solution specially developed to meet automotive requirements. This results in 260°C peak reflow temperatures while still passing full AEC Q101 qualification. With our zero-defect philosophy, our market-leading products exceed AEC-Q101 automotive quality standards.
The well suited feature set for automotive applications reduce the number of used components and thus the used board space significantly compared to other semi-integrated solutions. The high level of feature integration reduce the number of external component to simplify the board layout, minimize system cost and shrink the PCB space needed.
The 1EDI2004AS is a high-voltage IGBT gate driver designed for automotive motor drives above 5 kW. The 1EDI2004AS is based on Infineon’s Coreless Transformer (CLT) technology, providing galvanic isolation between low voltage and high voltage domains. The device has been designed to support 400 V, 600 V and 1200 V IGBT technologies.
