The core of the Automotive PSoC™ 4100S Plus family is a 48 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0 CPU, offering exceptional processing power for your automotive applications. With single-cycle multiply instructions, your algorithms run faster and more efficiently than ever before. Flash goes up to 128 KB, complete with the read accelerator technology.
This allows for lightning-fast access to your program code, ensuring responsive and reliable performance. Incorporating up to 16 KB of SRAM, the Automotive PSoC™ 4100S Plus microcontroller family supports advanced capacitive sensing applications. This feature enables precise touch and proximity sensing, enhancing user interfaces and controls in your automotive designs. Unparalleled signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and water tolerance with Infineon capacitive sigma-delta technology - this innovation guarantees exceptional sensitivity and robustness in capacitive touch applications, even in challenging environments.

Features of our Automotive PSoC™ 4100S Plus microcontroller family
In terms of serial communication, the Automotive PSoC™ 4100S Plus family boasts five independent run-time-reconfigurable SCBs. These SCBs support reconfigurable I2C, SPI, UART, or LIN 1.3, 2.1/2.2 functionality, providing versatile communication options for your automotive systems with up to 54 programmable GPIO pins. Any GPIO pin can be configured for CAPSENSE™, LCD, analog, or digital functions, giving you the freedom to tailor your design to your exact specifications.
The family offers a range of analog capabilities, including one opamp with reconfigurable high-drive external and high-bandwidth internal drive. It also supports comparator mode and ADC input buffering capability. Moreover, PSoC™ 4100S Plus offers a high-resolution ADC with a 12-bit 1 Msps SAR ADC with differential and single-ended modes.
The integrated channel sequencer with signal averaging ensures accurate data acquisition for applications. Two current DACs are available for general-purpose or capacitive sensing applications on any pin, providing flexibility in analog circuitry. Two low-power comparators operate even in deep-sleep mode ensuring system functionality while conserving power.
PSoC™ Creator
PSoC™ Creator is an integrated design environment (IDE) that enables concurrent hardware and firmware editing, compiling, and debugging of PSoC™ and FM0+ systems. Applications are created using schematic capture and over 150 pre-verified, production-ready peripheral components.
ModusToolbox™
ModusToolbox™ Software is a modern, extensible development environment supporting a wide range of Infineon microcontroller devices, including automotive PSoC™ Arm® Cortex® Microcontrollers. Infineon's Modustoobox offers a variety of code repositories on GitHub that are comprehensive, flexible, and atomic. This means that you will have access to all of the resources you need, can use them in your own workflow, and obtain only those resources which are necessary for your project. These repositories include board support packages (BSPs), low-level resources like a hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and peripheral driver library (PDL), and middleware that enables industry-leading features such as CAPSENSE™.
