AURIX™ TC3xx features and peripherals
Accelerate performance with the AURIX™ TC3xx family of high-performance microcontrollers with multiple TriCore™ CPUs, program and data memories, buses, bus arbitration, interrupt system, DMA controller, and a powerful set of on-chip peripherals. The AURIX™ TC3xx family is pin-compatible with the AURIX™ TC2xx family and offers increased flash memory sizes (up to 16 MB), integrated RAM (over 6 MB), and up to six TriCore™ 1.62 embedded cores, each with a full clock frequency of 300 MHz. New features include a new radar processing subsystem with up to two dedicated signal processing units (SPU), Gigabit Ethernet, additional CAN FD and LIN interfaces, and an eMMC interface for external flash. The family offers several versatile on-chip peripheral units such as serial controllers, timer units, and ADCs to ensure the right solution for your design.

Ideal for safety-critical automotive applications
The latest AURIX™ TC3xx 32-bit MCUs are well-suited for safety-critical applications to support clean, autonomous, and connected cars. Ranging from classic airbags, braking, and power steering to fail-operational systems supported by sensor-based systems using radar, LIDAR, or camera technologies.
The implemented connectivity features, in combination with the highest level of security, allow for the design of connected cars with applications such as a telematics unit, connected gateway, or in-vehicle wireless charging for portable devices. To make the car clean, the new AURIX™- TC3xx second-generation MCUs are well-suited for new systems in electrical and hybrid drives – specifically hybrid domain control, inverter control, battery management, onboard charger, and DC-DC converters, in addition to engine management and transmission control systems.
AURIX™ TC3xx combines performance with a powerful safety architecture and offers enhanced security with the second-generation HSM with asymmetric cryptography accelerators and Full EVITA support which makes the family the ideal fit for domain control and data fusion applications.
TriCore™ architecture overview and key features
TriCore™ is the first unified, single-core, 32-bit microcontroller-DSP architecture optimized for real-time embedded systems. TriCore™ Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) combines the real-time capability of a microcontroller, computational power of a DSP, and high performance/price features of a RISC load or store architecture in a compact re-programmable core.
The architecture supports both 16-bit and 32-bit instruction formats.

The first level of support is provided by local field application engineers, and the second level, which addresses more complex topics, is provided by dedicated automotive security experts. Dedicated on-site consulting can also be organized to help customers reduce development time and costs.
