What is special about working at Infineon?

At Infineon, I get the chance to develop myself in the technical world and explore the field of Analog Design with the support of my manager and colleagues. In my opinion, the supportive environment in Infineon is one of the main reasons why employees feel comfortable to express ideas and raise concerns without getting any judgement. As a newcomer to the technical field, I feel welcomed and fully equipped with all the trainings and teachings by my co-workers.

What are your main tasks?

I design circuits following specific guidelines provided by our customer requirements. These circuits need to be verified for their functionality and behavior. To achieve this, we run dedicated and fully covered simulations to ensure that we meet the targeted performance and efficiency. 

What are the results of your work?

We develop IPs in overall fundamental circuits with certain functionalities and performance to be delivered to our internal customers. The IPs delivered will be used by our customers to develop their own systematic top-level circuits based on our highly precise and accurate results. In the end, a product is manufactured with our and customers' development, such as Microcontrollers, Automotive Microcontrollers, Die Temperature Sensors, etc.

What are your job highlights?

Theory meets applications, where expectations and calculations are truly satisfying when both of these are fulfilled. The most important thing is to always look back and take a moment to reflect on the decisions you made and the effect they have on your design. I believe this behavior is advantageous to our lives. 

What are your biggest challenges?

In my experience, the biggest challenge comes from balancing performance vs functionality. Applying solutions are not so straightforward and be prepared to lose something in order to gain something.

What inspires you?

A conversation, a meeting, a discussion of purely Analog Design topics where I would participate and have the chance to listen and contribute with ideas. I also get inspired by my manager, who never fails to take care of us. The quality of leadership shown is astonishing, and they also communicate frequently to keep the colleagues always up to date.
