The International Graduate Program (IGP) at Infineon gives you full insight into how we come up with innovations. Over the course of 18 months, you have at least three different assignments – one of them abroad. By working in different departments, you can get an idea of what suits you best. The program can be started in different locations. How about Munich, Singapore or Los Angeles? From the beginning, you’ll have a chance to roll up your sleeves and take on challenging tasks. The focus is on developing your skills, which is why a defined roadmap is drawn up at the beginning.

We are looking for talents in a number of areas. For example, you can join us as an electrical engineer in product marketing, as a psychologist in human resources, or as a computer scientist in our corporate supply chain. The IGP is flexible too: it’s not about special career paths, but about filling key positions. From day one, you will be employed at Infineon on a permanent basis.

Our 18-month International Graduate Program (IGP) is designed to offer you a truly global, diverse, and enriching experience right from the start of your career at Infineon. The program is structured into three to four individual assignments, each offering unique insights and development opportunities across various departments and functions.

At least one assignment will take place abroad, typically lasting 4 to 6 months, giving you hands-on international experience and a broader perspective on our global business.

Throughout the program, you’ll be part of exciting and challenging projects, working in cross-functional, international, and interdepartmental teams. Whether it’s in day-to-day business operations or strategic initiatives, you’ll actively contribute to meaningful outcomes.

We believe that growth happens through experience and connection. That’s why we offer:

  • Daily business tasks that make a real impact
  • Project assignments and a dedicated IGP project
  • Regular feedback sessions for continuous learning
  • Networking events and international meetings—both virtual and in person
  • A strong support system through our Mentoring and Buddy Programs
  • Comprehensive trainings tailored to your personal and professional development

This program is more than just a career entry point—it’s your launchpad into a dynamic, international environment where your ideas are valued and your potential is nurtured.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree corresponding to the specific IGP position (such as electrical engineering, IT or business)
  • Relevant internships and/or other practical experience
  • International/intercultural experience gained during studies or internships
  • Structured analytical thinking and highly developed social skills
  • Extracurricular or volunteer activities
  • Passion for semiconductor technology, products and applications
  •  Fluency in English

Future IGP trainees are selected in a multi-stage process based on personality, specialized knowledge and potential.

At Infineon, the International Graduate Program offers more than just a job – it’s your gateway to a flexible and dynamic career. With a focus on filling key positions rather than focus on special career paths, you’ll have the freedom to explore different roles and find the path that fits you best.

Rotating through various departments, including an international assignment, gives you the chance to see the bigger picture, broaden your horizon, and gain valuable intercultural experience. From day one, you’ll take on real responsibility, working on challenging projects that matter – while receiving the support you need to grow.

The program is also about connection. You’ll become part of a strong global IGP community, build a wide-reaching network within and beyond your department, and get the opportunity to interact with Infineon’s top managers. Take part in impactful conferences, exclusive training sessions, and special events designed to boost your personal and professional development – all while having fun and building relationships that can last a lifetime.

All open IGP-positions are published regularly on our career website throughout the whole year. Please visit our job search. When you find an interesting job offer which fits you just feel free to apply via the job search directly. Here you find more information about our application process.
