OPTIGA™ Trust M is a pre-provisioned discrete secure element that allows an easy way to add security to existing IoT designs. It is optimized for smart homes, smart buildings and industrial automation. It is a highly modular, standalone hardware component and can be integrated with any MCU that lacks security by design. It can remain in place even when MCUs are swapped. This allows an easy upgrading to new protocols like Matter.
