General Purpose LNAs
BGB707L7ESD is a wideband, low power consumption (Icc of only 2.1mA) general-purpose silicon-germanium carbon (SiGe:C) MMIC LNA with integrated ESD protection (3kV at RF in) and active biasing in a very small TSLP-7-1 package. The LNA is as flexible as a discrete transistor and offers numerous integrated features for smaller and thinner mobile device designs. The device perfectly fits to the embedded FM radio active antennas in cellular phones (mobile FM radio). This concept replaces a headset cable antenna as used today. Mobile FM radio is going to be a key feature in next-generation handsets, such as cellular phones, personal media players and portable devices including laptops. Enabled by Infineon’s leading SiGe technology, the MMIC LNAs help to significantly enhance the sensitivity of the mobile and portable FM radio via a compact, low power frontend circuit.
