TLE5014SP Evalkit for SPI interface magnetic angle sensors
XENSIV™ - TLE5014SP Evalkit features the SPI interface of the digital GMR angle sensor
Infineon XENSIVTM is now offering a set of different Evalkits and boards to enable fast and easy evaluation of its TLE5014 digital GMR angle sensor, supporting to reduce the effort on customer side. In general, the TLE5014 GMR sensor comes in four different interface variants SPC, PWM, SENT as well as SPI which are reflected in the setup of the Evalkits and boards.
We are offering two different TLE5014 Eval kits which are highlighting the wide variety of interfaces, the TLE5014CPS Eval kit and the TLE5014SP Evalkit:
- TLE5014CPS Evalkit (link to) is featuring the SPC, PWM and SENT interface whereas
- TLE5014SP Evalkit is offering the SPI variant
Each of the two TLE5014 Evalkits consists of two elements (see picture below): A programmer board (including a microcontroller XMC1100 boot kit with a stacked-on shield) and a satellite board, hosting the respective TLE5014 GMR sensor. The satellite board gets connected via cable to the programmer board. As part of the ease-of-use approach Infineon is also providing a pre-mounted magnetic rotation knob, abandoning the need of designing, selecting and positioning a specific magnet. These kind of magnetic add-ons enable an ultra-fast evaluation and plug-and-play experience of Infineon’s well established magnetic sensor kits and boards.
A dedicated Graphical User Interface (GUI) is emphasizing this approach from a software perspective. The software can be downloaded selecting the tab “Tools & Software”.
Please note that the predessor TLE5014 programmer is no longer available, please use the new TLE5014CPS/SP Evalkit instead.
Description TLE5014 programmer board
The TLE5014 programmer board consists of two components:
- Infineon XMC1100 boot kit (equipped with a 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0 Microcontroller)
- Digital magnetic angle sensor TLE5014 programmer shield
To enable the full features of the TLE5014 programmer board, the TLE5014 programmer shield has to be plugged onto the XMC1100 boot kit. Please assure that the correct pins are connected.
Next step is now to connect the Infineon XENSIV™ TLE5014 programmer board with the respective TLE5014 satellite board. The two satellite boards are TLE5014CPS satellite board and the TLE5014SP satellite board.

Both satellite boards can be connected via cable to the TLE5014 programmer board as shown in the picture 1.
