ModusToolbox™ Offline Installation
ModusToolbox™ can now be installed via the ModusToolbox™ Setup program. This setup program provides access to the latest releases and will automatically download and install the user selected versions of tools, patches, and packs available from Infineon. This setup program requires an active internet connection during the installation process. Alternatively, offline installation files can be downloaded from this page and installed without a persistent internet connection.
The ModusToolbox™ Setup program is the recommended method for installing ModusToolbox™ and managing which versions, patches, and packs are installed.
Running the ModusToolbox™ Setup program will query the Infineon web system for the latest available content. An active internet connect is required when using the setup program.
There may be instances where a persistent internet connection is not available, or the files need to be downloaded in advance and installed on a machine without an active connection. The ModusToolbox™ offline installation files can be used in these situations.
In additional to the installation of ModusToolbox™, embedded run-time software resources are typically accessed directly via online GitHub repositories. The latest versions of ModusToolbox™ provides a Local Storage Content utility for downloading and managing an up-to-date snapshot of online content.
- Offline Tools Package – the tools package will install the specific version of ModusToolbox. Tools packages are available for Windows, Linux, and macOS.

- Offline Packs – Packs extend the functionally of ModusToolbox™ by installing optional tools for features specific to that pack. ModusToolbox™ packs are typically used for support application specific use cases (like Machine Learning) or for enabling early access support for specific devices.
